Everyone who tries Cuban cigars for the first time seems to simply fall in love with them. Same thing happened to me. After my first Fonseca (A mild Cuban cigar which is perfect for beginners), I was literally head over heels. I than got a chance to try out the Partagas Robusto and that pretty much sealed the deal. Soon I tried the Cohiba Robusto and I was floating in heaven. Nothing comes close to a fine Cuban cigar folks. absolutely nothing. What I really want to stress though is the whole deal gets even better. Did you know that you can actually age a Cuban cigar and they taste way better?

Yes it is somewhat of a mystery who discovered how to properly age Cuban cigars like fine wine and take the complexity to the next level, but lets just be happy that someone did. Don’t worry as you don’t always have to age your Cuban cigars. Cohiba cigars are already aged and Cuban cigars are good as soon as you open them. However, if you age your Cuban cigars even more, the taste is simply exquisite. Now when I say aging your cigars, I want you to store them away for at least two years or more. The more years they stay tucked away, the better your Cuban cigar will be. Trust me, it’ll be worth the wait.

Yes just like some great tasting wine (Which goes great with Cuban cigars by the way), you can definitely bring the most out of your favorite Cuban cigars by simply letting them age. The best way to age and preserve your Cuban cigar for the longest time is by getting an item called a humidor. A humidor’s job is retain the cigar’s properties which include the construction, taste etc. A humidor produces the same temperature required for you to have the perfect Cuban cigars, all the time. The best temperature is between 65 to 70 degrees and with a humidor, you can definitely maintain that.

The great thing about present times is you can easily get access to a humidor that is right for you. If you are a big time cigar aficionado, than go for the big time and create a room humidor. A room humidor is basically converting a room in your house into a personal humidor. Yes naturally they are expensive but they are also the best. If you are looking for something most people go for, than try a table humidor. Table humidor are perfect because they not only store your cigars, but they also serve as great pieces to put around the house so your friends can enjoy them too.

What you can do is start off with a little cheap humidor to see how it works and go from their. Their is nothing like aged Cuban cigars my friend. The great thing is that everything gets better when you age a Cuban cigar. The construction, the the taste and just the overall feel of the cigar. Invest in a humidor today and if you really want to get starterd, get some tupperware and put some water at the bottom and than place your cigar on a piece of cedar or something. Make sure it’s not touching the water and this goes for the cedar and the wood. Enjoy!
