I went through life thinking I was a looser and never had anything to contribute to society. I realized as time went by that I would have to address this problem as it became debilitating and caused me to loose many good jobs. To this end I began my journey to gain self confidence and change my life around.

I knew I had to better my general knowledge and took a few courses in subjects that interested me. I started reading many self help books and spoke to many successful people, who in turn guided me to make the right choices.

I would love to share a few of the important points with you:

I made sure I looked presentable, which in turn gave me lots of advantage in situations where I would had attend a meeting or go for a job interview.

The next issue I addressed was the way I would conduct myself in company. I practiced a lot in front of a mirror to role play the conversation. Similarly, I would at first only talk about subjects I felt strong in. Here your audience would want to listen to you because you are knowledgeable and can offer advise.

Get involved in a topic that you are well versed in. In so doing, people would want to listen to your opinions or suggestions. This is a great way to boost your confidence.

Also another very useful tip is to make a list of all the negative attributes you can identify with, or ask friends to help you with this list as well. Likewise, do the same with a list of positive skills or attributes you have. I then systematically aimed to reduce the negatives on my list until there were none left.

Take your list and paste it onto a mirror in the bathroom or where it is visible so that you can constantly remind yourself of what your goal is. Aim to add new attributes to your list as they arise. Read your list out loud or – if that’s too strong for you at the moment – in your head.

As you gain your newly found confidence, share it with someone who also has a low self esteem. This in turn will boost your self esteem which will become a better and more productive person in society. It’s also said that the best way to learn something is to teach others, so sharing how you achieved your new confidence levels will also boost your own levels. To gain self confidence is a wonderful achievement and will only stand you to good steed.

How can you differentiate yourself from your peers in the competitive financial industry? Many have similar financial background and qualifications, just like you. Assuming you and your peers offer the same amount of value to the organization, how do you raise your chances of landing the promotion during the upswing and keeping your position safe during the downswing? Develop superior social skills to distinguish from your competing peers. It takes time and commitment to develop good relationships. Here are five attributes to help your colleagues to better know you, like you and trust you.

Positive attitude – Everybody prefers to work with someone who is enthusiastic than one who complains. Do you embrace new responsibilities or do you grumble about having too much work? Do you see challenges as opportunities or threats? Are you a proactive action taker or are you easily influenced by negative events? Be sure that you are part of the solution and not part of the problem. Take initiatives and be willing to exceed expectations of your colleagues.

Emotional maturity – Stress builds up under the intense work of a financial analyst. Take responsibilities for your own feelings and don?t let it get out of control in the workplace. Be honest. Are you quick tempered? Do you often act on impulses? Find healthy ways to express your emotions and vent out your frustrations. Exercise, rest and relaxation are just a few simple ways you can release tension. Taking your frustrations out at work certainly won?t take you far in your career.

Empathy – This is the ability to identify and understand the wants, needs and perspective of others. If you remember that your fellow co-workers are under work pressure just like you and some may even have their personal struggles to deal with, you can be more understanding of their seemingly unfriendly behavior. Empathetic people are often good listeners who can recognize the underlying wants and needs of others. Empathy is a basic quality of an excellent leader and is the foundation for developing strong people relationships.

Team player – Share your knowledge with your colleagues. It may be counter-intuitive to help your co-workers when some, like you, may be vying for the same position that will open up. Helping your team and its members achieve their goals will earn you the support and respect of others. Although you will be evaluated based on your individual performance, you belong to a team. When you help to give solutions to your team members, they will also reciprocate the support when you are in need.

Network – Networking is the opportunity to apply the people skills that you have developed. Are networking meetings a part of your regular schedule? Do many people know about your quality work and great work attitude? Does anyone know about your work achievements? Be authentic but do not brag. The more people you connect with, the wider your network for information, ideas and potential opportunities.

Know yourself first. Observe and see how you currently interact with people. This is a good way to enhance your interpersonal skills. Are you welcome by your co-workers or do they tend to exclude you? Where do you have room for improvement? Do you complain and whine often and have a negative attitude? What are the qualities that people like about you? Keep them up.

Your strong people skills will differentiate you from you peer financial analysts. You’ll be among the first candidates to be considered when a position opens if you are a positive team player and who can understand the wants and needs of others. Your chances will increase the more people know about these valuable qualities of yours. You can be sure the tactless unfriendly individual player will be among the first on the hit list when the time comes for cutbacks.

IQ and intelligence increasing is one of those topics where most people think they don’t have a choice. People say intelligence is genetic, that you can’t increase it, that it’s all to do with education etc etc. But i say this to you now:

Society is full of lies.

And these lies which people say have limited the true potential and GENIUS that lies within us.

Just think for a moment, the geek in high school with the straight A’s and the medicine degree, what did he do to deserve his intelligence?

And think similarly too about the poor guy who worked and worked hard, only to end up with CCD grades and a life where “intelligence” and “analysis” isn’t his strength…..what did he do to deserve that?

You see, your intelligence will and can increase if you first BELIEVE that you can. Then you need to INTEND that you will ACT to increase your intelligence. And then it will increase.

I want to teach you a quick method to increase your IQ. Act and use this method because it works!

I want to start explaining this technique by asking you a question that in turn reveals a great SECRET about increasing your intelligence.

The question is:

What do you think is the typical human concentration span?

10 minutes?

20 minutes?

40 minutes?

2 hours?

The answer will gobsmack you. The answer actually is

………..

………..

………..

7 seconds!!!

7 seconds??!?!? i hear you say! Yep, you read that right!

Our average CONCENTRATION span is actually only about 7 seconds. (range is between 4-11 since it depends on your intelligence level)

Scary huh? It might seem hard to believe but prove it to yourself right now so you know I’m telling the truth:

1. Look at a fine and distinct quality of an object (eg the colour, the edge, the shape)

2. place your CONCENTRATION on the object

3. NOTICE how your CONCENTRATION on that quality wavers to another quality of the object, within seconds.

You see, you might be able to focus your attention on a task for 40 minutes+, but you cannot focus your concentration on a particular quality for more than a few seconds!!!

Your concentration ability is the most fundamental “tool” which you have for all intellectual endeavours.

And here lies a secret to increasing your intelligence.

Since your concentration span is so tiny, if you can find a technique to INCREASE your concentration span, BY EVEN A SECOND, it will lead to a HUGE increase in concentration ability overall.

And this technique is what im about to reveal to you.

TECHNIQUE: PSEUDO TELEKINESIS (AVERAGE IQ GAIN= 5-15 POINTS)

1. Obtain a coin and place it in front of you.

2. Make sure you are in a comfortable sitting place and in a location in which you will not be disturbed.

3. Look at the coin from a distance of 30 to 40cm away and concentrate your full attention on the look of the coin. Try and concentrate on its shape more than its particular features. Do not touch the coin.

4. Place your thoughts on the side-edge of the coin and try and force all your thoughts to be concentrated on that edge. By thoughts, i am NOT talking about images or words in your mind, just simply the force of your concentration on the coin.

5. You should imagine that the thoughts which you are exerting act as the force to make the coin move. Mentally push with your thoughts towards the edge of the coin. If the coin moves, replace it with a non-metallic object as your emphasis here is not real telekinesis.

6. You must maintain as much as possible, your concentration on the shape of the coin by looking directly at it, but also by attempting to force your thoughts onto its edge.

7. If you are performing the technique correctly, you will become unaware of your surroundings. If you become distracted (which you will at first), turn your attention back to the coin and doggedly attempt to maintain it.

8. You can repeat for any object of your choice, but a small metal object is desirable since this attracts the brainwaves towards the focal point you are concentrating on, thus allowing them to become more precise.

Other Effects of This Technique

1. Increased listening ability

2. Increased mathematical ability

3. Ability to sustain more complex arguments

4. Increased ability to extract relevant information from sources

5. Increased ease of memorisation

You should easily get an extra 5-15 IQ points on your existing IQ score using this technique. Practice for 6 days out of 7.

Most people believe that intelligence cannot be increased. They say that intelligence is genetic or that education is the key, or that you’ll never be smart etc etc. But the truth is, intelligence will always be increased if you know how. In fact, did you know that simple techniques can increase your IQ to over 180? I will explain this to you right now.

What I’m about to say might seem obvious but it isn’t so please pay attention, and this will reveal HUGE secret on how to increase your IQ and intelligence.

I’m going to ask you a totally 100% strange question which i bet you definitely 99% you will NOT get the right answer. This will reveal a massive secret about reaching the 180 IQ.

The question is:

” When you think, do you MAKE the thoughts you’re thinking?”

………..

………..

Confused? Weird question huh? Let me ask you again then…………

Do you MAKE the thoughts you think?

…………

………..

Aha. The answer is actually NO.

You ever MAKE the thoughts YOU think

Instead, you actually RECEIVE the thoughts!

Who would have guessed! You see my student, you are actually RECEIVING your thoughts from your SUBCONSCIOUS mind which is the seat of your intelligence.

The thoughts you have come from the subconscious and are received by your conscious mind which is the process of how you get the thoughts.

And there believe it or not, ACTUALLY, lies the secret to the 180 IQ. The Secret Is This: By accelerating the process of how thoughts are received, you can have more thoughts and ideas. Ie, your intelligence will increase and you will have ACCESS to the hidden treasures of the GENIUS within the subconscious mind!

Damn i feel smart. Did you get it? Or do you need to increase your IQ so that you do get it?

So we we want to be using specific means to make sure this happens. One more thing, acceleration of thoughts is fundamental. However, so to is expansion.

You see, to accelerate the process of your thoughts will give you a 180 IQ but also expanding the source of where your thoughts are received will give you a greater thought reservoir from which to think. So not only will your thoughts come thick and fast, but you will have GREATER BRAIN POWER because you have more resources when it comes to thinking!

And all of this means a direct increase in

1. reasoning ability

2. problem solving ability

3. mathematical ability

4. listening ability

5. memory ability

6. creativity

And so on. And so forth.

So would you like to be a genius? You know, your wasting your time reading this article and not ACTING to become a genius. Surely you want to ACT to get what you WANT, don’t you? See, I once felt proud of myself for KNOWING what created GENIUS levels of intelligence but an idiot at the same time for not knowing how to PRACTICE to get that intelligence. My advice is to SEEK and you will find. If i give you it all on a plate, you simply wouldn’t see its value.

The author increased his IQ from 85 to over 180, using the methods and techniques he learned throughout his life.

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.

Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.

Confidence is a feeling – an inner fire and an outer radiance, a basic satisfaction with what one is plus a reaching out to become more.

Confidence is not something a few people are born with and others are not, for it is an acquired characteristic. Confidence is the personal possession of no one; the person who has it learns it – and goes on learning.

The most gifted individual on earth has to construct confidence in his gifts from the basis of faith and experience, like anybody else. The tools will differ from one person to the next, but the essential task is the same.

Confidence and pose are available to us all according to our abilities and needs – not somebody else’s – provided we utilize our gifts and expand them. One of the most rewarding aspects of confidence is that it sits gracefully on every age and level of life – on children, men, women, the famous, the obscure, rich, poor, artist, executive, teen-ager, the very old. And you can take it with you into old age.

There is nothing more inspiring than an old person who maintains his good will, humor, and faith in himself, in others, in the future. Conversely, the root cause of old people’s despair is a feeling of not being wanted, of nothing to contribute, no more to conquer and become.

Most people have more to work with than they realize. One noted physicist calls this unused excellencies and finding and releasing this potential in ourselves is one of the major challenges of modern life.

The great danger is not that we shall overreach our capacities but that we shall undervalue and under-employ them, thus blighting our great possibilities.

The goal of life is not a problemless existence, which would be unbearably dull, but a way to handle problems creatively. That word "problem" may sound a little prickly, but it only means a question put forth for solution, and actually life consists of a series of problems-and-solutions, each different from the last.

Confidence is delight – delight in living, in being who you are, in what you do, in growing, in the endless and sometimes exasperating adventure of what it means to be human.

The teacher who delights in teaching has no time for bogging down in a swamp of doubt that he or she is doing it "right," and they are well aware that they can become a better teacher tomorrow, but only by doing their best today and enjoying today.

So, too, the mother who delights in being a mother does not worry overmuch about whether she fits the rules. She is not the mother, after all, of something material but of a living child. Rules can often be a guide to successful living, but they are not a substitute for living. Rules never quite keep up with reality, because rules come from experience, not the other way around.

Life happens, and it is infinitely inventive. It will always outrun and outmaneuver any attempt to bottle it up in a cut-and-dried system, for life is perpetual becoming. When life turns your wisest plans or best rules upside down, throw out the plans and bend with the circumstance. You will find powers you did not suspect, and possibilities undreamed of.

Confidence is not always winning, not always victory. Indeed, it is that very quality in humanity which refuses to stay defeated. A kind of stubborn cheerfulness. Remember there are two things you can do with mistakes: you can run away and you can grow.
